The Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska invites all business entities that have increased their employees’ salaries in the period from January to June 2024 to submit a Request for an Incentive for an Employee Salary Increase.

The request is submitted via the “e Incentive” application located on the website of the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship, which is active from July 1 to August 29, 2024, when the 60-day deadline for submitting a request expires.

For the accounting period January-June 2024, a business entity may exercise the right to an incentive for a salary increase only for employees with whom it has established an employment relationship no later than the first day of the month of the initial salary amount, or no later than December 1, 2023.

Namely, for the accounting period January-June 2024, the salary amount paid for December 2023 will apply for the month of the initial salary. According to the legal solution, in the event that the employee was paid a salary lower than the applicable minimum wage in the Republika Srpska for the month of the initial salary, the currently applicable minimum gross salary of 1,344.26 KM (net salary 900 KM) will be used when calculating the incentive amount.

After the application automatically confirms that the application has been correctly completed and successfully submitted electronically, the business entity prints, signs and verifies the part of the application relating to general data, and submits it to the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship in writing. The written application contains a barcode that is assigned after successful electronic submission, and is considered submitted when the printed part of the application with the barcode is submitted to the Ministry.

We remind business entities that the deadline for submitting applications electronically and in writing is 29.08.2024., and we urge them to submit their applications within the prescribed deadline.

The 2024 budget of the Republika Srpska has planned funds in the amount of 15,560,000.00 KM for incentives to increase workers’ salaries.
